I offer composition tutoring to High School students, HSC students, and amateur adults. I hold a Bachelor of Music (Composition) and first-class honours (Composition) degrees, and am currently completing my Masters of Music (Composition) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. I specialize in writing vocal music (choir, solo voice, and opera).

A composition lesson may look like:

• Reviewing and mentoring your composition

• Where to start? Creating an action plan in the beginning stages of composition

• Exploring the concepts of music, paired with compositional devices

• How to create, and sustain a musical idea

• Learning about score presentation

• Composing through performance practice, such as improvisation

• Developing music technology skills (Sibelius, Finale, Musescore)

• Improve score analysis and music theory skills

• Learning to writing for the voice and choirs

RATES:

$85 p/h in person (single/pair lesson)

$80 p/h zoom session

$120 p/h group lesson in person or zoom session
